Carl Richards Jam
This Bank Holiday weekend saw the Carl Richards Jam to celebrate the life of one of Wales’ fallen Brothers. This was the re-scheduled jam as the last one was rained off.
The sun was shining and loads of people came to get in the mix. Big props to all that made the effort to come along and big thanks to all the shops and brands that supplied us loads of goodies.
The sun was out in full effect as were the locals and friends of Carl
Our MC was Porno Paul, keeping the hype up all day – Paul with a mega phone is always entertaining
Things kicked off in the street section! There was loads of fools throwing themselevs about, people do mad things when it’s hot!
Park local and Indy Team rider Sam Pulley really does own the park – the best style for miles!
This is why we all came out - Jamie, Carl’s son, is a total shredder and good kid.

The last session of the day was in Newport’s Pool,
Again it was the kids making the old boys feel older!
Creature rider John “BEANHEAD” Coppen totally did a one man demo in the pool. Props to all that came and had fun in the name of Carl – he would have been stoked!

Shop Riot time
Vans Shop Riot time is coming up again! The best event in the UK by far!
Come and witness UK skate shops battling it out to hold the title of ‘Best UK Shop’. They then go on to battle it out in Europe for the best European skateshop.
This year they have split the UK Leg of this comp into two – a Northern Leg and a Southern leg.
The first leg will be the Southeren Leg which is on Sunday 2nd June so be there!
